The faculty of the School of ITCD research new technology and create new uses for existing technology. Here are some of the projects currently underway.

  • YoungJoon Byun, Kate Lockwood, and Sathya Narayanan are working on some applications for the Android platform, including a mobile peer-to-peer application and a network performance measurement tool.
  • Sathya Narayanan is working on a set of tutorials for IT Guru to teach networking concepts to high school and college students.
  • Bude Su is working with a team of MIST students to develop a set of online learning modules for the Natividad Medical Center in Salinas.
  • Eric Tao is working with both undergraduate and graduate students on user experience in e-learning system, fundamental computing curriculum in higher-ed, and innovative business start-ups in universities.
