The School of Information Technology and Communication Design offers several certificate programs through California State University, Monterey Bay's Office of Extended Education.
The following on-going programs accept students year-round:
- Certificate in Computer System Administration
- Certificate in Global Technology Management
Other programs are offered as needed, including:
- Certificate in Instructional Design Technology
- Certificate in Computer Networking
- Certificate of Project Management
- Certificate of English Communication for Technology and Business
These programs offer non-matriculated students from the community the opportunity to earn academic certificates that are fully recognized by CSUMB.
These programs typically involve fulfillment of outcomes equivalent to 4 or 5 specified CSUMB courses. The minimum required units for a certificate is 18.
All certificate programs accept international applications and can issue an I-20 if needed.
In order to accommodate the needs of certification students, the courses designed to fulfill these certificate requirements are delivered in a variety of formats, including traditional face-to-face, e-learning and blended-learning classes.
